WebOct 31, 2024 · Based on the classical Flory-Stockmayer analysis on network gelation, we developed a theory for reprocessable polymer networks to quantitatively predict the critical condition of being reprocessable. Our analysis indicates that it is unnecessary for all linkages between crosslinks to be dynamic to make the resulting network reprocessable. WebA comparison between the MC simulation results and the predictions of the Flory-Stockmayer theory on MWD shows that the rates of the reactions are determined by the concentrations of the functional groups on the monomers involved in each reaction. It further shows that the Flory-Stockmayer theory predicts MWD well for systems below the gel ...

More promising is the so-called rate theory , as proposed by Stanford and Stepto [ Webf >2, Flory and Stockmayer were able to show that at a certain extent of reaction, a percolating polymer network will be sponta-neously formed in a process referred to as gelation. In the polymer community, this percolating network is referred to as a gel, while the remaining finite species in the mixture are referred to as the sol.
WebJan 1, 2004 · We investigate the competition between dynamic chain formation and phase separation in the Stockmayer fluid (SF) of dipolar particles using a Flory-Huggins (FH) model. In addition to a van der Waals interaction, the FH model describes the association of dipolar particles into chains in terms of two energetic parameters, the association … WebJul 27, 2016 · Cases (a) and (b) are covered by Flory-Stockmayer theory. The black area contains configurations that do not admit phase transition, the color (shaded) area contains configurations with finite phase transition, and the red dashed line contains configurations that admit the phase transition asymptotically at infinite time.
